Dr. Stacey Dent, D.C., grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania. At the age of 12, she was walking with her parents at a local fair and suddenly experienced a sharp and stabbing pain running up her spine and into her head. She was in severe pain and was unable to leave her bed for a month, except for the many ensuing doctors visits. Everyone told her she had mild scoliosis and it shouldn't be causing that type of pain. They told her she would have to learn to live with it and be on prescription medication. In desperation, her parents took her to a chiropractor and after the first adjustment she was able to walk with much greater relief! Dr. Stacey was forever grateful and has continued chiropractic care since that time. She found that her adjustments greatly improved her overall sense of well being and helped decrease the frequency of her colds, asthma and allergies that she had experienced since childhood. With this experience, she decided that she wanted to help others the way she had been helped, through chiropractic.

Dr. Dent studied at Bloomsburg University, in which she earned her B.S. in Biology, while minoring in Chemistry and Anthropology.  In 2010, she graduated with a doctorate degree in chiropractic from Life Univeristy in Marietta, GA.

Dr. Stacey is board certified in the state of Maryland,  Webster technique certified for pregnant mothers and certified for Atlas Orthogonal care from the Sweat Institute. She is also a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). With her own family's personal journey of learning to heal from tongue and lip ties, she has had specialized chiropractic craniosacral and neurodevelopmental training from Dr. Martin Rosen, DC and Dr. Monika Buerger, DC.

Dr. Dent moved to Southern Maryland specifically to offer Atlas Orthogonal, Activator, pediatric, and pre/postnatal chiropractic care to the area. Everyday she strives to offer an excellent chiropractic experience and is well known for her work with pregnant women and young families. Outside of the office, she loves to spend every moment that she can with her husband and two beautiful children. She is very happy to be practicing in St. Mary's County doing what she loves every day: helping families live happier and healthier lives!
